Bow chica

Hey!! We have access to technology!

Been a rough couple of days, got about 3 hours of sleep in the airport in Caracas, promptly found a taxi, which was a hassle in itself as you can´t trust anyone here, and then headed to the bus station to get a ride to Puero la Cruz.

We arrived at the bus terminal around 5 pm but didn´t realize we were in the correct city...ya. It´s a real eye opener to see the culture here and how great of a difference there actually is. People are friendly but you can´t really trust anyone, we have been ripped off on the bus fares because we don´t speak spanish very well, but that was expected. So we found a taxi and then wandered around until we found a hotel on the beach to stay for the night. Conversion rates are terrible at the bank so we are exchanging with people on the sidewalk; highly illegal, but we really don´t have any choice.

Anyway, we are safe and happier than we have been the past few days.

I ahve 30 seconds left, so I´ll say my goodbyes now. Adios! and farewell.

Getting ripped off is part of traveling in the developing world. It's their chance to exploit us for once. Some warped sense of justice.
